art of veneering
was developed by craftsmen such as Chippendale and Hepplewhite in
the 17th century to make it possible to display the intricate beauty
of timbers such as Yew wood, which does not yield solid lumbar in
sizes large enough for most furniture applications. Veneering also
serves to dramatically reduce the environmental impact of furniture
manufacturing. Rain forest timbers such as mahogany can yield as
many as 25 veneered cabinets for every 1 manufactured from solid
wood.

items
are available in Yew Wood, Curl Mahogany, Cherry Wood, and other
selected, high quality timbers.
